Care & Maintenance Guide for Roman Blinds

At Just, we take pride in providing you with high-quality bespoke Roman blinds that enhance the beauty of your space. To ensure the longevity and pristine appearance of your custom-made window treatments, follow our simple Care & Maintenance Guide, detailed below.

Unwrapping and Installation

Your Roman blinds are meticulously packaged to reach you in perfect condition. While some fabrics may show slight creasing initially, rest assured that they will naturally smooth out within a couple of weeks once installed.

Regular Dusting

To prevent dirt build-up and maintain the elegance of your Roman blinds, we recommend regular dusting. This simple step can be performed in various ways:

  • Vacuuming: Close the blind and use a vacuum hose or a soft brush attachment to gently remove dust. This ensures that your blinds remain clean without any risk of damage.

  • Dry Cleaning: For a more thorough cleaning, consider dry cleaning your Roman blinds. However, it's essential to consult a dry-cleaning expert to determine the suitability of the fabric. Different materials may require specific care, and a professional can provide tailored advice for optimal results.

By following these care instructions, you can enjoy the timeless beauty of your bespoke Roman blinds for years to come.

Adjusting your blind hem level

We always set our blinds to hang perfectly prior to dispatching for delivery. However, installation or with usage over time, the strings may become uneven so your blind no longer hangs correctly. Some minor adjustments of the toggles and strings can set things straight.

  1. Drop the blind down so it is fully closed.

  2. Adjust the bottom toggles so they just begin to take weight of the blind.

  3. Raise the blind using the chain mechanism, checking that the hem is straight.

  4. If uneven, drop blind again and repeat adjustment of toggles and string.

Always adjust the two outer strings first, so the inner strings go slack. Then adjust the inner strings accordingly.

DO NOT CUT OR TIE THE STRINGS.
